THE BIBLE & HOMOSEXUALITY
Do you know and love a gay or lesbian person?

Have you ever wondered yourself what the Bible might actually say about being gay or lesbian?

How can Christians who uphold the importance of Scripture for their belief and faith understand, and reconcile homosexuality and Christianity?

This 6-week course of study and discussions is targeted at helping family and friends of lesbian, gay and bisexual Christians tackle these questions in an open, learning environment.

The classes will be facilitated by Clarence Singam of the Free Community Church, who has spent many years studying & wrestling with the scriptures developing deep and rich theological insights from his study of the texts but also through his life and community experiences.

Outside of his profession as a banker and his pastoring at FCC, Clarence is active with the Singapore Psychological Society having been a Past President. He founded OogaChaga, an inclusive counseling agency and continues to be involved in several LGBT community projects.

Clarence holds a Master's degree, Business Administration (Finance) from the Univeristy of Leeds, a Master's degree in Applied Psychology from NTU, and Bachelor's degrees in Law as well as in Economics & Accounting, both from Monash University.

The Free Community Church (www.freecomchurch.org) is an inclusive congregation whose mission is to celebrate diversity in living out God’s love and promise of abundant life for all. We welcome everyone, and affirm that all individuals, including lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered persons, are individuals of sacred worth created in God’s image. Our church affirms that same-sex and transgendered relationships, when lived out in accord with the love commandments of Jesus, are consistent with Christian faith and teachings.
